Good for

First-time users and administrators.

What you get

You choose the correct deployment without mixing authentication, sessions, devices, or runtime state.

Nanami asks where you want to connect before it asks you to sign in. This choice controls authentication, the saved session, device enrollment, and all Control Plane requests.

Nanami Cloud

Choose Nanami Cloud when Nanami operates the service for your workspace. The app uses the trusted Nanami Cloud endpoint and shows only authentication methods enabled for that deployment.

Self-hosted

Choose Self-hosted when your organization operates Nanami Community. Enter the HTTPS URL supplied by your administrator. Loopback HTTP is supported only in explicit local development.

An unreachable or invalid Self-hosted server does not fall back to Nanami Cloud. Correct the address or return to Change server.

Deployment isolation

Sessions and device enrollments are scoped to the selected deployment. The same physical computer may have one intended enrollment in Nanami Cloud and a separate enrollment in a Self-hosted deployment. A session from one is never reused for the other.
